Frostival 2020 is taking on a new form this go-around!

What started as a two day winter celebration will now be sprawled out over 6 weeks, January 15th 2020 - February 22nd 2020, allowing more events and better yet, the ability to make it to ALL OF THEM!

Uniquely Fargo: Winter Warriors – Grab your squad to face off for the title of Ultimate Winter Warrior. Teams compete against one another in epic battles of one-of-a-kind winter activities. Sweep your teammates to victory with Human Curling, test your arm with Yukigassen (our take on the crazy Japanese snowball fighting competition), show off your snowy speed with the Sasquatch Challenge, and boost your strength in the Icy Tug-of-Winter.

Ice Bowl Adult Disc Golf –  No wimps, no whiners. This is a disc golf tournament that takes place in the dead of winter to help bring awareness to hunger in America. Ice Bowl tournaments are held across the country to help fund raise for local food shelves and food-related charities. Amateur, Advanced, Master, and Pro registrations available.

Frozen Prairie Youth Pond Hockey Day-Grab your friends and come enjoy a day of hockey played where it all started…on the ponds! Each team has a 3 game guarantee in this jamboree structured day. All games are two 10 min halves. Divisions are 10U, 8U, 6U (All divisions coed). Cold Cinema: A Winter Movie Night – Embrace winter by enjoying an outdoor movie in the cold! Get your friends, bring a blanket, grab some popcorn, and settle in to watch a favorite winter film. The movie starts at 6:00 pm. Dress warm, this event will take place outdoors in a covered shelter. Heaters are available outside the shelter. Rheault Farm

Ice Fishing Derby –Bring your ice fishing rod and try your luck at the annual Youth Ice Fishing Derby! South Woodhaven Pond is stocked with perch, bluegill and northern pike. Registration starts at 1:30PM, Derby runs from 2:00-3:00PM. Holes are pre-drilled, free hot cocoa and giveaways.  Woodhaven South Park & Fishing Pond

This event is sponsored by the North Country Trail Association’s Dakota Prairie Chapter, NDSU’s Natural Resource Management Club, MSUM’s Regional Science Center, Moorhead Parks & Recreation, and Nature of the North.
