Frostival 2020 is taking on a new form this go-around!

What started as a two day winter celebration will now be sprawled out over 6 weeks, January 15, 2020 - February 22, 2020, allowing more events and better yet, the ability to make it to ALL OF THEM!

Winter Kickball Tournament – Enjoy the cold, be active. Kickball will return to the Frostival calendar and will allow teams to embrace the cold and compete! Ice Bowl Adult Disc Golf –  No wimps, no whiners. This is a disc golf tournament that takes place in the dead of winter to help bring awareness to hunger in America. Ice Bowl tournaments are held across the country to help fund raise for local food shelves and food-related charities. Amateur, Advanced, Master, and Pro registrations available.

Winter Gear Swap –  Do you have functional gear laying around your house, shoved up in your attic, or hidden somewhere in your garage that you aren’t using? LET US HELP! Nature of the North, the Moorhead American Legion Post 21, and Frostival 2020 are teaming up to give the FM community an opportunity to buy, sell, and trade used gear/equipment! FREE to attend and FREE Registration to sell. We simply want to provide a space for you to make some money while also helping to grow your local outdoor community. This event will make it possible for people to access gear that they otherwise wouldn’t have, and allows for the possibility of learning a new hobby, or inspiration for a fun adventure!

Undie Run – Brave the cold, drop your pants, and run around in just your knickers! Pre-register for only $15 or $20 day of the event and receive a pair of Frostival undies and a pom hat in return for your bravery. Register here

Beard Competition –Bearding is the sport of growing, grooming and presenting one’s facial hair. So bring your family or friends;  the bushiest, the most stylish and the weirdest,  to showcase those chops, bristles, and whiskers and become the upper Midwest’s facial hair connoisseur. Cold Cinema: A Winter Movie Night –  Embrace winter by enjoying an outdoor movie in the cold! Join us at Rheault Farm on Friday, February 21. Get your friends, bring a blanket, grab some popcorn, and settle in to watch Penguins! The movie starts at 6:00 pm.
Dress warm, this event will take place outdoors in a covered shelter. Heaters are available outside the shelter.

Youth Ice Fishing Derby –  Bring your ice fishing rod and try your luck at the annual Youth Ice Fishing Derby! Join us for this free event at South Woodhaven Pond on Saturday, February 22 from 2:00-3:00 pm. South Woodhaven Pond is stocked with perch, bluegill and northern pike. Holes are pre-drilled for participants. Free hot cocoa and giveaways (while supplies last).
Registration opens at 1:30 pm the day of the event.

This event is sponsored by the North Country Trail Association’s Dakota Prairie Chapter, NDSU’s Natural Resource Management Club, MSUM’s Regional Science Center, Moorhead Parks & Recreation, and Nature of the North.

Snowga – Discover peace and tranquility by combining fresh powder and yoga! Join local yoga instructor Tracy as she leads snowga, a fun accessible practice for all ages and levels of yoga students. Please wear proper snow attire, no bare feet in this yoga class! Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. 
An optional donation of new or gently used hats, mittens or scarves in the only admission for this outdoor yoga practice. Collected items will be donated to Stepping Stones Resource Center. Register here
